Moduls Engineering team participates in Lalletecom Riga Marathon
MODULS ENGINEERING TEAM PARTICIPATES IN
LATTELECOM RĪGA MARATHON FOR THE 10th YEAR RUNNING.
For the first time Moduls Engineering team of employees and their families took part in Rīga Marathon in 2009, but this year it was their 10th Rīga Marathon.
Participation in the marathon has become a Moduls Engineering tradition. The size of the team varies from year to year and this year the tradition was continued by 19-strong Moduls Engineering team running the 6 km distance. The record size of the team was in 2012 when 33 participants started on different marathon distances.
The first marathon in Rīga took place in 1991. This year Lattelecom Rīga marathon gathered record 37,645 runners. At the same time, on Saturday, 19 May, 12,000 junior athletes participated in Rimi Children’s Day runs and activities, but the new 4.2 km Family Run saw 3,519 runners. On Saturday, 20 May, 6 km distance was the most popular with 11,201 participants, 6,975 runners chose 10 km while 5,395 athletes ran the half-marathon and 2,074 the full marathon.
