Renovation of Building 1 of Gaiļezers Hospital launched
Moduls Engineering started work on renovation of utility networks in Building 1 of the Riga East Clinical University Gaiļezers Hospital to ensure conditions appropriate for modern medical institution.
This will be the most extensive work carried out in the medical departments of the hospital in the last 40 years, i.e. since commissioning of Gaiļezers Hospital back in 1979.
In the project, Moduls Engineering will design and install low-voltage networks, including modern staff call system, fire detection and alarm system, central voice announcement system for emergency situations, as well as modern security, access control and video surveillance systems. Work on the utility services will continue until February 2020. To ensure modern, high-quality medical services, a medical staff call system and a telephone and computer network will be installed in the hospital.
‘The greatest challenge in this project is to work in the hospital building where medical services continue to be provided. However, we very much hope that the prospect of modern premises after completion of the work will help everyone’s patience. The premises will have equipment and technological solutions for modern medical needs, which will allow medical staff to perform their daily duties more efficiently. One of the solutions will be a modern staff call system to allow staff quickly respond and provide necessary medical help,’ said Jevgeņijs Savčuks, Moduls Engineering Member of the Board.
The project will include renovation work on the area of 11,000 square metres. Renovation of Building 1 of Gaiļezers Hospital will cover large-scale work in the medical departments, including installation of modern equipment and technologies, replacement of furniture and space improvement, as well as replacement of obsolete utility systems in medical departments, in the loft and in the basement.
